The qathet film society is grateful for the funding received from the PR Community Foundation. Your support of our 3 Ears Indigenous Film Festival helps grow the society’s mandate to engage with Tla’amin Nation in the ongoing process of decolonization and reconciliation. We would like to express our thanks to the Powell River Community Foundation for joining us in this endeavor, through grants enabling us to purchase new therapy horses as well as complete capital projects such as the building of horse stalls. Our riders have shown great improvement and interest over the years due largely to our “equine therapists” and the care we can give them because of PRCF’s generosity.

Powell River is in dire need of a dedicated hospice facility where community members nearing end-of-life can spend their final days in beautiful and peaceful surroundings with loved ones close and needed medical supports on hand. We are extremely grateful to the Community Foundation for recognizing this need and offering financial supports to Four Tides Hospice Society, enabling us to engage community, develop key partnerships and create a plan for a hospice in the qathet Region.
