What I love most about the Powell River Community Foundation is the end result it offers to the community, a lasting legacy. That’s why I am part of it!

Why do I donate to the Powell River Community Foundation? Community foundations play a crucial role in helping people give back to their community in meaningful ways. We connect people, families and groups with causes that inspire them. We pool resources, knowledge and expertise, working with others for even greater impact.

I feel very fortunate to live in this  caring community. I am proud of Powell River, and want other families to experience the benefits that life here has given me and mine, for many years to come.

As a recent settler on Tla'amin territory, volunteering with the Powell River Community Foundation provides me the opportunity to learn about the wealth of community initiatives that support people and places in the qathet region. I'm grateful to play a small part in contributing to the long-term resilience of our community.

At Powell River Community Foundation, we help generate positive outcomes by providing grants, education and other resources to our communities. We are able to do this by investing our donations so that your gift can keep giving for generations to come! This is both important and exciting to me as these funds can be shared with local non profit organizations within the Powell River area to ensure the betterment of our communities.

I like being a part of a foundation that has created and is growing an endowment fund that has a mandate to donate only a portion of the “earned funds” back to the community which will provide support for generations to come. I also like the principal of supporting positive outcomes and education for the community, community associations, societies and clubs.
