HOW TO APPLY  FOR A GRANT

Powell River Community Foundation has an annual granting cycle where applications are accepted each year. This year applications will be accepted from June 1, 2019 until September 20, 2019.  Charitable organizations in our city and surrounding area in need of funds to fuel their many worthwhile endeavours can download the current grant application package below. The stated needs of each application will be assessed by the granting committee, which balances the request with available funds for the disbursal and makes recommendations to the PRCF Board of Directors. Applicants are advised to review the guidelines and grant evaluation criteria carefully before completing their application.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants must be registered charities under the Income Tax Act. Grants are not awarded to individuals or to businesses. Eligible projects must benefit residents in the Powell River region. Please review additional evaluation criteria here.

Fields of Interest

The Foundation considers applications for projects related to the following fields of interest:

  • Arts and Culture

  • Children and Youth

  • Community Health

  • Education and Literacy

  • Environment

  • Seniors

  • Social and Economic Disparities

  • Social Justice

Application Deadline Applications must be received by FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. Mailed applications should be sent sufficiently in advance to ensure delivery by the deadline.

Grants will be presented on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the King's Home Game #5.  

Grant Awards

Approved grants will be presented on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the King's Home Game #5.  Successful applicants will be notified approximately 2 weeks prior to the proposed announcement event. Grant amounts vary depending on the application.

Evaluation Report

Grant recipients must submit a project evaluation report within 12 months of receiving the grant or before applying for a current year grant. The evaluation form can be filled in on-line by clicking here.

 

Completed forms must be printed out as they cannot be submitted from this website. Failure to complete the evaluation will exclude the applicant from receiving future grants.
