Canada 150

In addition to our regular granting cycle, the Powell River Community Foundation is proud to partner with Community Foundations of Canada and the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th.  This initiative will provide local community groups with access to funds for projects that celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial.

The funds will support local projects that meet the Objectives of the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th which are:

  • Encourage participation in community activities and events to mark Canada’s 150th anniversary;

  • Inspire a deeper understanding about the people, places and events that shape our country and our communities; and

  • Build vibrant and healthy communities with the broadest possible engagement of all Canadians.
