Whistler Community Foundation once again offers the Kathy Barnett Leadership Scholarship

Application opened today for the annual Kathy Barnett Memorial Leadership grant offered by the Whistler Community Foundation. The grant honours foundation director Kathy Barnett, whose leadership and dedication to community has left a lasting legacy in the Whistler region.

The grant was created to provide funds to women living in the Sea to Sky Corridor who are looking to improve their leadership skills so as to enhance their work with local community organizations. Awards are announced at the annual Kathy Barnett Leadership Luncheon, which also serves as a fundraiser to support the memorial leadership endowment each. This year's event takes place Friday March 7th, 2014 at the Westin Whistler Resort and Spa and will feature Sophie Lui, Global BC Morning News Host and guest speaker Theresa Laurico, passionate social entrepreneur, media talent and global leader.
